Performance thinking with Océanique

Squash & Stretch event, Oxford Brookes University, May 5th, 2018

In this performance I worked with the modified Theremin, voice and electronics. Theremin is inhuman. The hands move in the air and produce a sound, a kind of ‘ether’ which we fill with the image of thought, to make sense. To make sense of the oceanic.

Theremin with modified parts made by Derek Holzer (macumbista).
Curated by Veronica Cordova and Peta Lloyd.
Camera by Alec Wylie.
The other versions of this performance were performed at the Sideways festival, Helsinki on Sunday, June 10, 2018.
