‘Détroit Oceanique’ was based on a collaborative project with Karolina Kucia that we did in Andalucía, 2016-17. In that project in collaboration with the SOC-SAT union in Almeria we aimed to research the connection between labour, food production and migration in the region of Andalusia. It was a collective process that aimed to create a part fiction film, shot in the region.
This work presented at the MAA-tila gallery, I worked with the script in the way that it was divided in parts, that a visitor could read in any order they wished. Aside from the script there was a projection based on the material gathered in Andalucía and Morocco.
